ULTRA de Mayo

WOO! Whatta weekend. We didn't just celebrate Cinco de Mayo, we got in Quatro and Seis as well!

On Quatro de Mayo, Fitch and I jumped into his truck and rolled to Effingham. We met up with Boolah and his lovely fiance Jamie and ate some pizza. We thought about scoring some Mexican, but we all kinda knew we were gonna get plenty of spicy Mexican food before the weekend was up. After we ate we hit the bowling alley. My first game I bowled a freakin' 114, which is insanely high for me. Unfortunately, after that I got really, really tired and the sucky, sucky music started to suck away my will to live, so my second game I bowled a humiliating 43. That's right. 43. After that, we, thankfully (I was about to fall asleep on my feet), called it a night.

On Cinco de Mayo, got up early and rolled to Evansville, IN to my favorite comic shop, Comic Quest, for Free Comic Book Day. Set up my table, handed out freebies, and even managed to make a few sales. Thanks to everyone that bought something offa me. Man, they don't screw around on Free Comic Book Day at Comic Quest. Besides having a HUMONGOUS stack of Free Comics to hand out, they also had Raffles, Door Prizes, Heroclix Demos, and people dressed up as Spiderman and various Star Wars characters. It was awesome. Anyway, I checked out at around 3, bought some stuff (sure it's Free Comic Book Day, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't support your local shop by buying some stuff), and rolled back home to Fitch's where the lot of us (Bro, Boolah, Jamie, Brooks, Fitch, and myself) ate tacos (thanks Fitch!) and watched "Once Upon a Time in Mexico". Love that flick.

Finally, on Seis de Mayo I invited the aforementioned usual suspects over to my place for Cactus Chicken Tacos, Quesodillas, and a night of Lucha Libre. A good time was had by most. Yay for food!

Who didn't have a good time? Besides the toilets in and around Clay City after that weekend's menu....
