The Year in Review '06: The World
I know nobody's reading this thing, but I'm gonna start putting up my Year in Review columns starting, well, today, and continue putting them up throughout the rest of this year. So, tune in here once or twice a week to see what I thought of life and pop culture throughout this year of our Lord 2006. And we start it all off with a quick overview of the World at Large.
The World in 2006 was pretty much the same as the World has been ever since us two legged freaks have been walking it. Buncha people died. Buncha people were born. Some people did good things, but no one paid any attention cause good deeds go unnoticed. Lots of people did bad things, and everyone paid attention cause doing bad is far more interesting. Technology advanced, nature receeded (spell?), and no one really learned anything. There were some disasters, and a lotta people ran around saying it was the end of the world, but here I am typing this little rundown about the World, so I suppose it's still here.
In other words, same old same old.

There actually was a lot learned about man/machine brain links in the form of controllable prosthetic limbs for amputee soldiers and a babboon that feeds itself with a robot.
