Heat Wave
"Hellboy: The Island #1 (of 2)" is currently available from creator Mike Mignolia and publisher Dark Horse. If you're a Hellboy fan like I am, then you are welcome to join me in the Dance of Joy. If you're not, then you may dance as well, but I'm sure it won't be as joyous.
The nationwide heat wave continues. Normally, I don't mind excessive temperatures, but here lately we can't seem to have a heat wave without the accompying excessive humidity. Burning up is one thing, feeling like your head is gonna explode is another.
I don't know what it's like anywhere else, but despite all of the TV Polls claiming people are gonna start driving less due to ridiculous gas prices, the traffic has been retarded around here. Course, I was also saying Global Warming was crap during April when it was in the 50s, and now I'm not so sure...

I'm pretty sure Global Warming was el causo numero uno on the 50s in April/May. While it heats shit up across the board, before it reaches that point, it REALLY fucks up current weather patterns as we know them.
Trust me. The world I'm making for OGE is fucked up both geologically, astronomically, and just in general. Recently I've had to research a lot about tidal flow, ocean currents, tectonic activity, etc.
Weather's never just a cause, *snap*, and there's your effect. It's more of an "Oh shit! I think this is *part* of the problem. We should have stopped it years ago."
If we dropped greenhouse gas creation to "acceptable" limits now, it'd take a decade or two before we saw ANY return on that investment whatsoever. That's why the corporate controlled, um....I mean Repbulican controlled Congress isn't too quick to jump on these issues....not enough immediate profit for investors to care.
