Kiss 04 Goodbye.

I'm back! For now! Never know when this computer will crap out.

I'd like to apologize for not getting the last of the Holiday webcomics up, or for putting up the New Year's one. Sorry, but between the insanity of the holidays and the internet being down, I didn't get the oportunity to finish. If anyone wants to see the last one, drop some comments on the blog, otherwise I'll not bother.

Alota crap went wrong in 04. Fires, floods, mudslides, snowstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, Ashlee Simpson, George W. Bush and his insane crusade and all the people killed for it. Yep, globally, 2004 was utter crap.

But personally, it was a good year for me. I published my first real comic. Attended the San Diego Comicon for the first time (also, my first trip to California). And TORC Press represented at the 2004 Chicago Comicon. In fact, 2004 was pretty kick ass, and I can only hope that 05 will be moreso.

Before I head off to our New Year's Party (we're watching all 3 Lord of the Rings Extended Cuts in a r0w. Bow before our Ubergeekiness), I'd like to say that I've got the best friends and family in the world. Also, a big thanks to everyone that came out and supported TORC Press at Chicago.

HAPPY NEW YEAR BABYCAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Speed Typing

I'm typing this at a buddy's house, so I gotta keep this quick.

First off, "SDF: Strange Patterns" is now at the printers. Provided nothing goes wrong, I should have copies available in early 05.

If you get the chance, catch the movie "Sideways". I would ramble on and on about how this is easily one of the best movies of the year, but every other reviewer is already doing that. Just check it out, and you can either thank me or hate me later.

All of my Christmas shopping is done, so now all I gotta do is wait until the big day. I think everyone on my list should at least be happy, if not pleasantly surprised.

Technology Is Not My Friend

My internet is down. Has been for a week. In fact, it's still down: I'm typing this up at a friend's house (Boolah, represent!). Frankly, I'm more than a little frustrated with the way this week is turning out. Still, chin up, we be going Christmas shopping this weekend. In my book it is better to give than recieve, and I hope to score my family and crew some decent swag this year. And if not, hey, it was the thought that counted, right?

Scored three comics this week (latest issues of Punisher, Ocean, and Rising Stars), all decent, but none really worth yammering extensively about.

Before I go, I'd like to give a big up to my webmaster, Brian Shaffer, who has been updating my central website with shocking regularity despite my utter absence. Big thanks man! If you're a fan of my comics, make sure to check out the Christmas comics on my site (check the SDF: Nonreal link, for those of you uninitiated). Personally, I think the aliceislost comic turned out real well.

Hopefully, we'll get our internet problem fixed.

It's December! (Finally)

No more November. Whew. Getting tired of that month, Turkey Day or no.

So, it's December, and here are my short and sweet goals for the month.

1) Get "SDF: Strange Patterns" to the printers.

2) Get cool presents for alla my friends and family (I'm actually lowering my standards cause of my tight budget. I usually try to get kick ass presents for everybody).

3) Not have a horrible car crash due to ice, deer, or obscene holiday traffic.

Everything else is just gravy, baby.
